Where are the stars been farming for days now and not a single one has droped.

Most of you guys, especially those starting out, don't like the current update.

And some of you know that exploration is time-wasting, kinda stupid, and really irritating with the update.

Well, I've figured out an alternative way to grinding: salvaging ships.

You must be thinking to yourself,

"What kind of masochist likes going exploring and constantly getting killed, and getting nothing in return?"

Well, with what I've been doing for the past hour may, or may not, help you.

My strategy goes like this:

PREREQUISITES:

- have knowledge of the game, basically. You can't just start this brand new.

- have your map explored (you need a lot of planets)

- actually have tried exploring the planets (it helps to have a few upgrades on your exploration ship AND know what to do when those little FUCKING drones start circling around you)

- time, and plenty of patience, this strategy is not flawless.

WHAT TO DO:

- find any planet at all (you can nit-pick at what planets have the stats you want: Toxicity, Temperature, and Hostility, but I've found that just going int o the planet helps better.)

- look for a yellow icon NEAR YOUR SPAWN POINT (Don't go exploring! PLEASE. These icons show a decommissioned ship you can salvage. If you don't find one, back out and repeat the steps.)

- Try your best to salvage it (Usually around these ships there are drones that I believe were previously the ship's, just shoot em down, there's a weak preset targeting unit in your ship, because I barely try aiming and I hit most of the time.)

- Once you do, back out and repeat (For noobs: you DON'T have to pick up everything on the planet. Sometimes the nodes give you plentiful resources, and sometimes one little measly resource that you can only sell [LOOKING AT YOU, POLYMERS].)

I've explored countless planets for the last hour, and I've found 10 NEW ships. I saved about 3 hours of grinding! Not only that, you find scraps, which are meh, that you can sell for a few extra pennies and alien artefacts, which are probably the most profiting scraps you can find on these planets. Also there are MODULES! The best I've found is a railgun, which I am pretty proud to own.

Don't worry too much about the drones, I've found mostly stasis drones which originate from the Bushrak faction. Their projectiles don't take health away from you, but if there's another type of drone around, you're fucked. Besides, those FUCKING BUGS just keep shooting you until you turn around successfully and spray their fucking asses.

-I haven't found any Unknown drones yet, I've stayed mostly near to my home planet cuz there's a lot of barren planets.- FALSE, i have.

I don't know if rockets help, I haven't bought them, even though I have 6 stars which I wanna save up. : / They do

P.S.

- planets can have more than 1 ship, and I'd recommend chaining if you find another one near your first ship (largest chain I've gotten is 3 ships on one planet. SIX SHIPS)
