For player use, this is one of few ships capable of equipping dual Targeting Unit-assisted Railguns. Another option could be the use of TU-assisted Machine Guns, Heavy Neutron Blasters or Ion Cannons, possibly with Tractor Beams. Multi-cannons can be used to great effect with high speed. It can be very dangerous if its armed with just the heavy neutron blaster with automated reloader.
Players can also equip the L-slots with dual Small Repair Rays, which help reduce the need of Repair Bot.
Non-veterans and Veterans are medium ranged gunships of fair speed. Double Veterans are long ranged snipers and are much more dangerous foes, possibly one of the most dangerous other than Capital Ships.
- Non-veterans are armed with just two Heavy Neutron Blasters and some Shield Capacitor armors. However, they can be tough foes for early players.
- Veterans appear to keep the same weapons. They gain an ECM Jammer (flares), a countermeasure against missile ships and drone carriers. Their speed and overall stats are significantly increased.
- Double Veterans are armed with two Targeting Unit-assisted Railguns and are much more dangerous. The knockback from these highly accurate and damaging weapons combined with the impulse means it's extremely difficult to reach the enemy without fast ship or use of an Afterburner. The enemy also uses its Railguns as a way of evading your attacks- therefore missiles and other AoE weapons are recommended.
